A Sustainable Office for the Future
Eira is designed with sustainability at its core—both environmentally and socially. For Skanska the project is an pioneering development pushing the boundaries of CO2 targets. The goal is to achieve and surpass LEED Gold, NollCO2, and Well certifications, ensuring high standards in energy efficiency, carbon neutrality, and well-being. With a strong focus on sustainability, flexibility, and attractiveness, Eira is built to support the needs of the next generation of workplaces. Employees will benefit from an environment that fosters collaboration, tranquility, and health. The building features a KL wood frame with a wooden facade, and natural wood is prominently used throughout the interior, enhancing both aesthetics and well-being.

The commitment to sustainability and minimizing the building’s climate impact led to a strategy focused on reducing material use and resource consumption. Each building component was designed to serve multiple functions, creating synergies across the design. For example, the balconies not only offer pleasant lush green outdoor spaces for employees and act as sunshades to reduce heat loads, but also serve as one of the building’s two emergency escape routes and holds solar panels that generate electricity. An efficient use of space and resources."
