As part of the refurbishment of Genesta’s office in Stockholm, a custom-designed table in solid oak was developed with a focus on durability, material honesty, and architectural coherence. The soft, rounded edge profile echoes both interior elements and original details in the building, where oak is a recurring material.
A central gap runs the length of the tabletop—serving not only as a visual and structural divider but also as an integrated cable channel. It allows easy access to the recessed power box beneath the table top, offering a discreet and functional solution without compromising the integrity of the design.
Two versions of the table were crafted for different spatial functions: one measuring 3.6 meters for the work–eat–lounge area, and a larger 4.2-meter version for the main meeting room. Both are designed to foster collaboration and flexibility, while standing as lasting elements in a thoughtfully updated office environment.
