The project is a part of an ambitious urban development project designed to transform the area around Tegeluddsvägen in Stockholm into a more vibrant city scape. With a strong focus on environmental responsibility, the project incorporates an extensive reuse strategy while embracing innovative timber construction methods. The development is set to become a benchmark for low-carbon urban regeneration. The vision is to create a dynamic environment that supports office spaces, public services, and residential functions while maintaining the architectural and historical integrity of the area.
The existing building, a former warehouse currently acting as the TV4 studio, will be upcycled and expanded with a mass timber structure on top, significantly increasing capacity while ensuring a minimal carbon footprint. This approach aligns with the project’s ambition to achieve 'Zero CO2' by utilizing sustainable materials and maximizing reuse. By combining modern sustainability strategies with respect for the existing urban structure, the project supports Stockholm’s broader vision of a more cohesive, accessible, and environmentally responsible cityscape."
